Ireko redesigned this Smith Ranch condominium in Marin County with custom Sonoma-fabricated furniture inspired by rare Japanese antiques, upholstery from Theodore Alexander and Burton James, and a Biltmore-replica dragon motif mirror over the fireplace.
Rare Japanese Antiques Meet Modern Marin County Living
Many of the furniture pieces were custom-designed by Ireko and fabricated locally in Sonoma County, complemented by rare Japanese antiques.
Upholstered seating by Theodore Alexander and Burton James is dressed in distinctive fabrics from Schumacher, while draperies and trims from Stroheim and Kravet are woven throughout the home.
Lighting by Maitland Smith and Paul Ferrante brought from the owner's previous residence casts the rooms in a warm, familiar glow. Above the fireplace, a striking mirror replicates a famed dragon-motif original from the Biltmore Estate.
The result was a home that feels genuinely collected with a blend of new and old that tells a deeply personal story.
